Book a toastmaster
Formulate a guest list
6 – 4 months
Obtain a marriage notice form from the district registrar
Order your invitations and stationery
Arrange your flowers with the florist
Buy any gifts for your best man, bridesmaids etc
Set up your wedding guest list
Buy your wedding shoes and underwear before your dress fitting so that you can try them all on together.
Go for a dress fitting
4 - 2 months
Submit marriage notice forms with appropriate paperwork
Address wedding invitations
Order the favours for the tables
Buy the wedding rings
Have a session with your Hairdresser and Beautician
and book an appointment for the day.
Order any extra accessesories

Send out your invitations
Arrange accommodation for relatives, plus first night accommodation
Schedule appointments with beauty therapist and hairdresser
Arrange a final fitting of your wedding dress
Prepare seat plans
Check passports and arrange to change name on it if traveling as Mrs
Check all other items affected by your surname

Start to record wedding gifts
Confirm a rehearsal time
Hold stag/hen party
Check all dresswear for the bridal party
Review seating plans and prepare place names cards
2 weeks to go
Confirm all arrangements with suppliers
Give final numbers to hotel/caterer
Check speeches are prepared
1 week to go
Pick up marriage schedule or meet with registrar to finalise arrangements
Check all travel documents for honeymoon
Pack cases for overnight stay and or honeymoon
Ensure best man has rings
Ensure relatives are met and or picked up
ON THE DAY
Have a small breakfast
Avoid drinking to much alcohol
