Happy New Year to all our customers, new and old.
Its been a long time in coming but we are finally there. We still have some work to do, ie joiners need to fit new worktops and cupboards, boxes to unpack, office to sort out, decide where everything is going and on top of that, have our new website designed!!!!!
We are also designing new Wedding Favours, New Candle Designs and much much more.

Well the past few months have been a whirlwind, busy with lots of lovely orders, craft fayres and preparing to re-locate to our new premises.
We decided in between all this happening to have a few days rest and took off to Inverness, a beautiful part of Scotland. We went on the fantastic boat cruise over Loch Ness and had a fab drive round Inverness and visited some of the shops and drinking establishments!!!!
We are also in the process of redesigning our website, a huge task but going to be well worth it!!! Lots of new ideas in the pipeline. New candles, new designs for personalised candles and much much more.
We have been busy booking fairs and events, so once these have been confirmed, we will announce these on our website and on our facebook page.
We don't have any more news on our relocation yet, just that we are hoping to be in our new unit either by the end of this year or beginning of next year. It really has been a long process and has been 2 years so far!! All to make way for the railway!!

Well our BLOG seems to have taken a back seat and every time we have gone to update it, something else seems to have happened and its been forgotten about!!!
We have had a busy time since our last blog, with craft fairs, major tidy up in our workshop, decorating at home, illness, need we say more!!
We have now added our new Wedding Offers, which so many Bride and Grooms have taken advantage of. We all like to save pounds and with everything increasing in price, we thought we would help you save money.
We have also had a major clearout of some of our fragrances and these are now available on our last chance page

2010 was a mixed year for us, not sure what was happening with the business, if we were staying in business or if we intended to give up making candles and focus on other ventures...... but no, you all decided that we were going to stay in business and we decided to keep on going.
We had a fantastic time and a well earned rest over the festive period although it saw us floored with the dreaded cold and cough bug that was doing the rounds!
We may be having a huge move this year as the railway is coming back to the Borders and where our workshop is, they plan on building an embankment there, so that will be fun, but we will keep you all updated.
We have decided that seeing as everyone else is putting up their prices due to the dreaded VAT increase, we will be keeping our prices the same. The only thing that we will be increasing slightly is our p&p charges, mainly due to Royal Mail increasing their costs.
We are already booking craft fairs and shows for the oncoming months and once these have been confirmed, we will add them to our events page. We are looking at attending a lot of fairs locally and letting people know that we are here and what we do!!
Our wedding candles and favours will be changing over the next few weeks, nothing major, just a lot of new additions and new packages!! Any brides that have placed orders with us for wedding favours this year for unity sets or wedding favours will be offered a discount on the packages.

Well, well, well what are we all making of the snow then????
It’s lovely to look out at when you're inside but not so nice when you're out in it and its up past your knees and going over the top of your wellies!!! It’s been pretty bad here in the Borders and a lot of the smaller towns and villages have been completely cut off and some people have only just managed to get outside today, they've been snowed in since Monday!!!!!
We managed to get to our workshop Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but today we were fighting a losing battle, the snow had fallen off the roof and where had it fallen, yes you've guessed it, right in front of the door. It was more than half way up the door and Paul (hubby) managed to clear just enough snow to get into the workshop to pick up some supplies so that I can work on orders at home. Then... after trudging along the main street in the snow to get to the post office, we discover that they have decided to close early due to the weather!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
We are doing our very best to process as many orders as we can at the moment but the main problem is Royal Mail. I read today that due to the weather they are unable to deliver to certain parts of the UK which I can understand. So please bear with us while you are waiting for your order.
If you have placed an order with us and it can wait till after Christmas, please contact us and let us know.
We have been kept very busy with orders and would like to say a very warm Welcome to all our new customers and a huge thank you to all our customers, old and new. We hope that the snow hasn't been too bad where you are and that you all keep safe during this severe weather.
We will be closed from 3rd December and re-open on the 17th January. We have decided to take a longer break this year as we have been even busier this year and especially since we came back from holiday in November. We were away to Florida and had a fantastic holiday, oh how we wish we were there now, enjoying the 80 degree heat!!!!!
We would like to wish all our customers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you all in 2011.

Well that's July gone and we are now into August and this is really the first time that I’ve actually had some free time to update the blog.
We’ve been kept very busy with your orders,so thank you to all our customers.
May–September usually keeps us busy with weddings and this year has been exceptionally busy. To date, we have made over 650 lip balms, 500 of those were for one bride!!
We haven’t really had a chance to make or experiment with new candles but we have added some beautiful new fragrances, Sage, Lemongrass and Oakmoss, Angel Wings, Rose Geranium, Chocolate Brownie, Lavender and Lemon and Summer Pudding, our personal favourite!!!
We’ve also been busy sourcing some new stockists and these will be added to our website.We are always on the look out for new stockists so if you think somewhere needs our candles, please contact us!!
Our facebook group has also been busy, we are curently giving away FREE lip balms to anyone who introduces 3 friends to our page. All you need to do is leave a message for us on facebook with your friends name and the lipbalm is yours!!!!! SIMPLES!!!!

Well its been a busy time for us already. April kept us going but May is proving to be even busier.
We were at New Lanark Food and Gift Fayre on Monday 3rd May and although it was busy, a lot of us were saying that the people coming through the doors were just not spending, not sure if it was just a day out for the family or they just didn't see anything to tempt them to buy!!
Our next event was at the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles, a fundraiser for the Theatre and a Homeopathy night with Sheelagh Milne. It was a great night and a very interesting subject. Then we are off to the Northumberland show at the end of May, details for all the events we are attending are on our website.
We have now extended our range of Aromatherapy melts, these now include Geranium, Eucalyptus and T-Tree. These are proving to be very popular.
We are also in the process of trialing new Lip Balm Tubes and NEW shape Aromatherapy Pillar Candles.

Well that's March nearly over already, can't believe how quickly the months are going in.
We are now offering FREE yes FREE local delivery within 20 miles from Galashiels. All you have to do is place your order and choose FREE LOCAL DELIVERY at the shopping cart, SIMPLE!!
We've had a busy month so far, sourcing new fragrances, visiting new stockist's, visiting our new workshop, designing adverts for wedding magazines and newspaper articles, just busy busy busy!!!
On Saturday, we visited Indigo Silk a spiritual holistic retreat in Haddington. They were having an open day and I decided to go along and have some therapies. I had an aromatherapy hand massage which was fantastic and watched a whole foods cookery demo. I wanted to have a tarot card reading but the reader finished by the time I was free. A lovely place to visit and try out some of their treatments, they also have workshops on various therapies etc.
We also visited one of our new stockist's, Georgina Holdsworth who has a shop in Gorgie and one in Linlithgow, a lovely lady and 2 lovely shops, I could have easily spent all day there, both the shops are little havens. Georgina is a Psychic and Spiritualist and you can book to have a reading with her.
Our other new stockist is Bowhill Country Estate Gift Shop in Selkirk. We also have a small selection of our candles in The Coach House Restaurant in Selkirk, another beautiful location, a fantastic little place with a wonderful menu and a lovely selection of handmade gifts and crafts.
We have mentioned that either this year or next we will be relocating our workshop, this is due to the railway coming back to the borders. I'm dreading it as there is so much to pack away and so much to sort out and decide does it go in the "bin pile" or the "keep pile"!!!! We will still be in Galashiels and will keep you updated with our progress.
For the next 3 months we are in Wedding Ideas magazine and we will be featuring some of our wedding candles, favours and unity sets as well as other candles.

Well we have just returned from the International Women's Day which is an event that is happening all over the world.
We attended ours in Galashiels and had a fab time. We heard stories from one of our local mp's about women all over the world who have achieved wonderful things.
We also watched a local woman belly dancing which was different.
We are quite excited here as we are now in the fantastic Wedding Ideas magazine, we are also on their website and hope to be featured in the mag soon.
We are also working on new Celtic wax melts and these are still being tested. Once the tests are complete, we will have 4 different designs, we are also working on zodiac signs melts.

Well we have been having a much needed rest during Jan but now it’s back to
business as they say.
We have a facebook group page and for anyone that joins, we have a fantastic 10% discount on any orders placed from now until the end of March. We thought that it was time we joined the 21st century way of contacting people!!
We have a brand new team of testers and as we speak, they are testing new wax melts, new fragrances and other new goodies, all will be revealed soon.
We are just back from a few days in Scarborough and York and how I wished we lived there, fabby little shops all empty and all for a bargain rental price as well. Just what we are looking for!!! We had a fab day in York, lots of shopping and a visit to a haunted house, but sadly it’s all over and it’s back to business now.

Well its been some time since we last updated our blog, which we can only apologise for. We have been ever so busy with the launch of our new wholesale website and we also took some time out for our annual family holiday to good ol' USA!!!!! So we came back from that well rested and raring to go!
We have just about finished our Christmas lines for this year, just have one or two things to tweak and some new products to finish road testing!!!

Well not quite sure what happened to our summer this year, the rain and bad weather has left us feeling rather deflated!!!

That's another month past, where is all the time going??
We are still working on our Aromatherapy range, but we have been rushed off our feet with orders so the new range has had to be put on backburner at the moment.
We can now confirm that we will be selling our candles at Gardening Scotland in Ingilston in May. We will be in the craft marquee, we are also in the process of confirming some more fairs so these will be added to our events page.

Well January has proved to be a busy month for us!!
We have been kept busy with wedding favour orders, wholesale orders, enquiries and loads more.
We've been busy designing and making our new AROMATHERAPY range of candles, the range will include boxed t-lites, pillar candles, wax melts and a few other surprises!! Look out for the launch of these.
We are also working on a new range of wedding favours. These will be launched in Febuary. They include.........oooo we don't want to spoil the surprise so make sure that you check out our range in february.

Well that's 2008 over.
We hope all our customers had a lovely Christmas and a fab New Year and that some of you are still enjoying the time off over the festive period.
As we have been recicveing numerous enquiries over the last few days, so we have decided to open a week earlier, now we will be opening on the 5th Jan and not the 15th.
We are hoping to be attending wedding fayres next year, so you may see us at local and Edinburgh area fayres. As soon as we have the details confirmed, we will post them on the events page.
We are also in the middle of booking craft fayres for 2009, again these will be posted on the events page.
